Appointments

If you need to cancel or change your appointment at short notice, please phone us as soon as possible using the phone number on your clinic letter.

Please give us as much notice as possible so that we can offer the appointment to another patient.

You do not need to phone us to confirm that you will be attending.

We presume you are planning to attend your appointment unless you tell us you are not. 

If you do not attend your appointment, your clinician will decide if you should be offered another appointment or be discharged back to the care of your GP.

To access DrDoctor we need your email address or mobile phone number.

Patients who prefer to receive appointment letters by post can choose not to share their email address or mobile phone number.

To update contact details we already have, please phone 01793 604080.

Things you may want to consider before your appointment include:

• A list of questions you would like to ask
• A list of the medications you are taking
• Money for your prescription or your exemption certificate.

We have introduced self-check in kiosks in our outpatient departments.

These are easy to use and let us know you have arrived for your appointment.

If you would prefer to speak to someone, please speak to a member of staff on the reception of your clinic and they will be happy to help.

Car parking at the Great Western Hospital is plentiful but can get busy.

Please leave plenty of time for travel and parking.

If you are running late, please let us know using the phone number on your appointment letter when it is safe to do so.
